Apparently I'd have to make a special trip to see one of these! So, in answer to your question Steve, no - I haven't seen one yet! Not that I would have a clue what one looked like anyway - but I have been reliably informed that I haven't seen one. Will keep my eyes open......

I'm not surprised; apparently there are only 9 surviving pairs in the whole of the Regional Park!
They look and sound like this: Kokako bird - Photo : sound"

(They sound more tuneful that your current music !)
