Today, I had Vegemite (hadn't had that before), and the other day I tried a cup of green tea (v.nice it was too!).
On Saturday, I went on a jet-ski (hadn't done that before either) - a little daring I have to say, as it was driven by my cousin's 20yr old boyfriend. Needless to say it was a scary ride (for which I had to hang on for dear life - quite funny really!) - and I ended up in the water! Thankfully there weren't any sharks around at the time!!
Sometimes it's good to do something you've never done before - and you never know, you might just enjoy it!

Back in Oz!
I'll let you know the answer to the previous pic - but for now, just a very short post (because it's 1pm and 26C outside - I know you'll understand) to let you know that I'm back on the Gold Coast (Australia). I had a fantastic time in New Zealand (with John & Bron), and flew back here on Tuesday.
I am thinking of heading home (contrary to popular belief) and have now booked a return flight.....oh - you wanted to know when? Watch this space...

Sistas Update....
Wow - the conference finished tonight....it's been awesome! It's also late (midnight!) so it's just a quick post....
The closing item tonight was 'I am not Alone' by Natalie Grant. It was a powerful song to finish with - so I thought I'd put the words here:

Sistas Conference Update....
Just a quick update from the Sistas Conference here in New Zealand.
The speakers have been excellent: Maree de Jong, Nancy Alcorn, Christine Caine, Bobbie Houston and Sy Rogers.
Singing in the choir has been great fun (there's 170 of us)! It's been cool to be backstage at a big event like this (3,500 people). Thursday night was very cool.....singing in the choir - with Darlene Zschech leading the worship!
What was fab - was that so many women got saved.....several hundred on the first night alone. It's been awesome!

I've joined a choir!!!
Sistas Conference is coming up - and Bron and I have signed up for the choir!! Last Thursday, 170 of us got together for a 3hr rehearsal, followed by another one on Saturday. We learnt 15 songs.... and I now have to memorise all of the words by this Thursday! If you sing in the choir on Sundays - you have to be there at 6.45am...awesome!
Probably time to stop blogging, and start learning the words....
It also meant that I HAD to do a spot of shopping(!), as we have to be colour co-ordinated. You can imagine that this was quite a hardship! I'm singing alto, but changing to soprano Saturday night - because the sopranos get to wear pink that night, and I couldn't miss an opportunity like that!! One thing I've learnt....always travel with a pink shirt - you just never know when you might need it! :-)
The church here is awesome! They've also got a Roland RD-700 and Korg Triton (the same keyboards as we have at Elim!)....how cool is that!?!

Yay - I've FINALLY finished reading 'Armageddon' and am now reading 'Glorious Appearing' (the last of the Left Behind series).
A Letter From God
As you got up this morning, I watched you, and hoped you would talk to Me, even if it was just a few words, asking my opinion or thanking me for something good that happened in your life yesterday. But I noticed you were too busy, trying to find the right outfit to wear.
When you ran around the house getting ready, I knew there would be a few minutes for you to stop and say hello, but you were too busy.
At one point you had to wait fifteen minutes with nothing to do except sit in a chair. Then I saw you spring to your feet. I thought you wanted to talk to Me but you ran to the phone and called a friend to get the latest gossip instead. I watched patiently all day long. With all our activities I guess you were too busy to say anything to Me.
I noticed that before lunch you looked around, maybe you felt embarrassed to talk to Me, that is why you didn’t bow your head. You glanced three or four tables over and you noticed some of your friends talking to me briefly before they ate, but you didn’t. That’s ok. There is still more time left, and I hope that you will talk to Me yet.
You went home and it seems as if you had lots of things to do. After a few of them were done, you turned on the TV. I don’t know if you like TV or not, just about anything goes there and you spend a lot of time each day in front of it not thinking about anything, just enjoying the show. I waited patiently again as you watched the TV and ate your meal, but again you didn’t talk to Me.
Bedtime I guess you felt too tired. After you said goodnight to your family you flopped into bed and fell asleep in no time. That’s ok because you may not realise that I am always there for you……
I’ve got patience, more than you will ever know. I even want to teach you how to be patient with others as well.
I love you so much that I wait every day for a nod, prayer or thought, or a thankful part of your heart. It is hard to have a one-sided conversation.
Well, you are getting up once again. Once again I will wait, with nothing but love for you. Hoping that today you will give Me some time.
